Transylvania is a region full of history, inhabited during the centuries by Romanians, Hungarians, Saxons and Szeklers, societies who have left their mark in specific parts of the land. One symbol of Transylvania is represented by the fortified churches, which present the lively image of its cultural life.
This is tour is designed for all adventure seekers, nature lovers and legends followers. You will discover the southern part of Transylvania wandering around its village life.

Starting our tour from Sighisoara* we will head towards Breite plateau where we can embrace the nature through some of the eldest oak trees in our country. After boosting our energy we will pass through Saes and make a stop in Apold where we can witness the great church of the village. Our final destination of the day is Stejarisu. Route: Stejarișu – Agnita – Vard – Veseud – Bruiu – Gherdeal – 36 km (22 miles)
The wakeup call will be in the morning, when we will look for the perfect sunrise from a nearby hill. The path will take us today towards one of the most deserted places, Gherdeal village. On our off-road adventure we will have the chance to meet cattle herds going up the hill, but also people working their lands. These villages were once inhabited by the Saxons that decided during the communist period that is better for them to search for a new home. We will check-in at a recently opened pension, Casa la Tei, a place you may not expect in a deserted area such as this.

This is the day in which you will receive the reward for the effort you put in pedaling up and down the Transylvanian hills. You will still have to ride a bike to our destination, yet the trip will be shorted and at the end of the road, pampering guesthouse will await you in Cincsor with elegancy, fresh food, selected wines, and, maybe most important, great company.
